Next.js Development

Next.js is what we build on, and it is the reason our sites are readable by search engines and AI assistants without running JavaScript. Seven of the projects in our portfolio are built on it, from a preschool website to a multi-tenant school platform.

Why build on Next.js rather than plain React?

A single-page React app sends the browser an empty shell and builds the page with JavaScript afterwards. A person waits a moment and sees the content. A crawler that does not execute JavaScript sees the shell. That distinction did not matter much when the only consumer was Google, which renders; it matters a great deal now that AI assistants and answer engines read pages and many of them do not.

Next.js renders on the server, so the response is a complete document with the text already in it. That is the whole argument, and it is why every content-bearing thing we build uses it. The secondary benefits follow from the same architecture: faster first paint on a mid-range phone, images and fonts handled properly, and structured data generated from the same source as the visible page so the two cannot drift apart.

Seven of the projects in our portfolio are built on Next.js, ranging from a preschool website to a multi-tenant school platform with over a hundred and fifty endpoints behind it. We write TypeScript in strict mode and hand over the repository and deployment access, so nothing about the stack ties you to us.

Worth thinking about before choosing the stack

  • Does the content on this page need to be found in search, or is it behind a login?
  • Are you migrating an existing site, and do its URLs need to survive?
  • Who will maintain this after handover, and do they know React?
  • Does anything here genuinely need to be a single-page application?

Next.js Development questions

A single-page app sends an empty shell and builds the page with JavaScript. Google renders that, but many AI assistants and answer engines do not. Server rendering means the response already contains your text, so every crawler reads the same page a person does.

Yes, and the URLs are the part to get right. We map every existing address to its new one and redirect anything that moves, so the rankings a site has already earned survive the rebuild rather than restarting from nothing.

Probably not for search reasons, since nothing behind a login gets indexed. It can still be the right choice for the routing, the data loading and the deployment story, but we will not sell you server rendering you have no use for.

Any React developer, which is the main reason we use it. We write TypeScript in strict mode and hand over the repository and deployment access, so bringing the work in-house or moving to another team needs no permission from us.

Managed infrastructure in most cases, because it handles the rendering, caching and image pipeline without a platform team. Self-hosting is possible and sometimes required for data residency, and it is worth deciding early since it affects how the build is configured.
