What does building a business website actually involve?

A business website has one job: turn a stranger who is already interested into someone who contacts you. Everything else — the animation, the gradient, the clever headline — either serves that or gets in its way. We start by working out what a visitor needs to believe before they will pick up the phone, then build the shortest path to that belief.

In practice that means a clear statement of what you do and who for, visible without scrolling. It means the proof that makes you credible: real work, real people, real detail about how you operate. It means the contact route your customers actually use, which in India is as often WhatsApp as a form. And it means all of it loading fast on a mid-range Android phone on a patchy connection, because that is the real testing environment, not a designer's monitor.

We build on React and Next.js and deploy to managed infrastructure. That combination gives you pages that render on the server, so search engines and AI crawlers see complete content without executing JavaScript, while still feeling instant to a visitor. You get the repository and deployment access at handover, so the site is genuinely yours.

Worth thinking about before you commission a site

  • Who specifically are you trying to reach, and what do they need to know before they contact you?
  • What proof do you actually have, and do you have permission to publish it?
  • Who on your team will keep the content current after launch?
  • Is a new site the real problem, or is the existing one simply hard to find?

Websites questions

Three to six weeks for most business sites, and two to three weeks for a single landing page. The variable is rarely the build; it is how quickly content, photos and approvals come back. We agree a content deadline during discovery so the timeline holds.

Yes. We hand over an editing setup for the content you will actually change: text, images, team members, service pages. Structural changes still come to us, but nobody should need a developer to correct a phone number or add a testimonial.

Either. Most clients supply the raw material and we shape it into page copy that reads well and targets the right search terms. If you would rather hand it over entirely, we write it from an interview and you approve before build starts.

Six months of support is included: bug fixes, small content changes and technical questions. We also hand over the repository, deployment access and documentation, so you are never locked into us to keep your own site running.

We quote a fixed price after scoping, because the honest range before that is too wide to be useful. The variables are page count, whether content exists, and integrations. A single landing page sits at the bottom of the range; a multi-page site with a booking flow sits well above it.

Ongoing content writing, photography, paid advertising and monthly SEO work are separate. So is anything that turns the site into an application — logins, dashboards, payments — which is custom software. We flag that boundary during scoping rather than discovering it mid-build.
